The Detroit Pistons on Monday announced that Dwane Casey will transition into a new role in the team’s front office and that a search process for a new head coach.
Casey, who started in 1981 as an assistant at Western Kentucky University, was able to end his coaching career on his own terms when he announced to reporters Sunday that he was stepping down to move into the front office.
