Detroit Pistons Owner Tom Gores is donating $350,000 to SAY Detroit with $100,000 allocated to support the nonprofit’s efforts to turn legendary St. Cecilia’s Gym and the surrounding eight-acre campus into a new SAY Detroit Play Center. The planned renovation pays homage to Detroit native and former Piston Earl Cureton, who died in 2024 after advocating for the restoration of St. Cecilia’s for years.
